The Seahawks were already hurting before their Week 2 game with the Lions, and they potentially suffered two additional significant setbacks in Detroit.

DK Metcalf, the Seahawks' star wide receiver, sustained a rib injury on the first drive, one on which he caught two passes for 34 yards, helping Seattle take the lead on a Kenneth Walker III rushing touchdown. He later went to the locker room and was listed as questionable to return.

On the other side of the ball, starting corner Riq Woolen was also listed as questionable with a chest issue.

The Seahawks went into the Lions game with both starting offensive tackles, Charles Cross and Abraham Lucas, out because of injury.

While the severity of Metcalf's injury is not known, losing him for any period of time would be a huge blow to a Seahawks offense many consider to have the best receiving corps in football following the addition of rookie first-round pick Jaxon Smith-Njigba to Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

Woolen, meanwhile, is Seattle's top corner following an outstanding rookie season in 2022. Having been shredded by the Rams in Week 1, the Seahawks can ill-afford any injuries in the secondary, not least to arguably their most talented player in the defensive backfield.
