The Seattle Seahawks are slowly building an outstanding team under head coach Mike Macdonald. It shouldn’t be any surprise that the defense is trending in a good direction, but new quarterback Sam Darnold has this offense playing extremely well as well. They could be a dangerous team heading down the stretch of the season.

For the long-term sustainability of this team, continuing to build up the overall level of talent on this roster will be paramount. The 2026 NFL Draft offers an opportunity to do just that, so why not enjoy a nice early 7-round mock draft? Adding dynamic weapons to the defensive pool, as well as giving Darnold more support, was the name of the game in this one.

Round 1, Pick 22: Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU

Delane was a very good player at Virginia Tech previously, but he has become an elite one for LSU this year. He has requisite size and athleticism, but Delane makes his living off of being physical and tenacious. There is some upside in zone coverage, but his man coverage upside is even better. You are getting a diverse cover man who should contribute very early.

Round 2, Pick 56: R Mason Thomas, EDGE, Oklahoma

Thomas is a smaller pass rusher, so he won’t be for everyone. He is, however, one of the best pass rushers in the entire 2026 draft class. His combination of explosiveness, bend, and nuance are tremendous. There is a reason to believe that Thomas will never be a plus run defender on the NFL level, but you are paying him to get after the quarterback.

Round 3, Pick 87: Fa’alili Fa’amoe, OT, Wake Forest

When Fa’amoe was at Washington State, he carried some high grades from NFL evaluators. His injury-riddled 2024 season has taken some luster off but Fa’amoe is still a very talented player. He has some cinder blocks for hands, possessing some impressive power overall. There is some nice developmental upside at either right tackle of inside at guard.

Round 4, Pick 122: Elijah Sarratt, WR, Indiana

The Seahawks have a ton of silky slot receivers that operate as really good route runners, but they don’t have a ton of size in the wide receiver room. Sarratt brings the length and strength to win outside of the numbers. His lack of long speed will hinder his chance to create some big plays, but Sarratt’s style is still a valuable commodity for Darnold to win some contested catch situations.

Round 5, Pick 165: Demond Claiborne, RB, Wake Forest

Claiborne is a smaller running back so there are going to be some limitations as a early down ball carrier. There is a clear role, however, for the Wake Forest star. His explosiveness is notable, and he possesses nice long speed to create some big plays. That is a valuable commodity in a running back room.

Round 6, Pick 189: Keanu Tanuvasa, DT, BYU

If you respect the game of current New York Jets defensive tackle Harrison Phillips, then you are going to love what Tanuvasa brings to the table. He plays with great effort and nice power in his hands. Tanuvasa also has underrated quickness working from the interior. While he isn’t a dynamic overall talent, Tanuvasa does a lot pretty well.
