Drew Lock may not play too much for the Seattle Seahawks right now, but it is fair to say that he is one of the better backup quarterbacks in the NFL.
There is a reason why Seattle gave him a shot to win the starting job.
Lock may have missed out on that job, but it doesn't change the fact that he has done almost everything in his power to prove himself. His career with Denver even shows a player that is worth other teams looking at, especially when you compare Lock and Russell Wilson in Denver.
The numbers should be pretty jarring for a Wilson supporter.
No one on the planet would argue that Wilson is worse than Lock at football, but it is fair to say that Wilson's team is playing worse despite having a better coach and better talent than Lock ever did.
Do with that information as you will.
More than anything, this is all just surprising. No one could've expected the Broncos to be this bad with Wilson at the helm. It just speaks again to the fact that Seattle made the right decision to move on from Wilson in that famous trade.
While win percentage isn't everything, it is hard to argue from any angle that Seattle had the bad end of this trade. Plus, maybe it speaks to the character of Lock that he was able to find success in an area that many other players would fold.
Seattle just keeps looking better. Sadly, it continues to come at the expense of one of the best players in franchise history.
Seahawks’ ailing secondary is set to get much healthier in Week 4
They’ll be in much better shape.
