Three players on the bubble heading into Seahawks training camp

It is only a matter of time before the Seattle Seahawks have to make difficult decisions during training camp.

Some of those decisions will undoubtedly be cutting players, who, in any other circumstance, could have helped the team.

So, let's play a little thinking exercise: Who are four players that are near the team's end of the line when it comes to second chances and could be the target for being cut if they don't have a great summer? Time to explore.

WR, Dee Eskridge

The often injured Dee Eskridge is in need of a transcendent summer. After missing 14 games in two seasons, if he doesn’t produce day one of training camp, it is easy to see the Seahawks cutting their losses and moving in a different direction. Especially now when the SEahawks drafted a young wide receiver in Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who has star potential written all over him.

CB, Tre Brown

Well, life comes at you fast. Tre Brown, the third-year cornerback, has shown glimpses of potential. But like other names on this short list, his main concern has been staying healthy. Originally a fourth-round pick, Brown hasn’t been able to be on the field due to injuries consistently, and as a result, other players have moved past him in the depth chart. If he doesn’t have a fantastic training camp, Brown could find himself on the outside looking in on the Seahawks’ roster.

RB, DeeJay Dallas

Let’s be honest, the Seahawks bringing in a stable of running backs over the offseason lends one to believe that the running backs they had on the roster may not have been exactly what the team is looking for. So naturally, the 2022 backup is on his way out. If he doesn’t show potential to offer Seattle what it doesn’t already have, Dallas may be looking for a job in Dallas or maybe elsewhere.

And there you have it, three shots in the dark regarding Seahawks players that may have their days numbered. Training camp will be a time when these three players must prove that they are worth keeping on the roster. That means intense training camp battles and more.

Until then, all we can really do is speculate.
