The Seattle Seahawks didn't look like they would be the busiest team at the trade deadline. With just a few days to go and no massive needs for the time being, it made sense that Seattle wouldn't be major buyers.

However, the Seahawks could be involved with an interesting deal as the seller.

In a league that has lost a lot of quarterbacks over the last few weeks, Drew Lock looks like he has become a hot commodity. Perhaps Seattle can get something out of this.

Geno Smith is the guy in Seattle. That isn't going to change any time soon, especially not with the team winning games like it did today.

Given the lack of need for a guy like Lock on the roster any longer, it makes sense that Seattle could start eyeing what they could get for their backup quarterback on the market, especially for a team that has a need.

Teams like the Jets and the Vikings have choices to make, especially the Vikings in a bad division. While both of these teams could pack it in and become sellers at the deadline to build for next year, there is something to be said about the Vikings continuing to fight despite the loss of Kirk Cousins today.

Whether it is a team like the Browns, Vikings, Jets, or more of a dark horse candidate, there are a lot of franchises that would get better immediately by trading for Lock and keeping their playoff hopes alive.

It certainly seems more likely that the teams that just lost their quarterbacks pack it in and avoid any trades, but Seattle should at least keep their ears open if the opportunity presents itself.

Picks for the future just makes this team better. No one should have any issues with that.
