Reunions are becoming a popular thing in the NFL. As in life, the grass isn't always greener when seeking out other organizations.

Per Josina Anderson of CBS Sports, the Pittsburgh Steelers and free agent Bud Dupree have had "preliminary" conversations.

Dupree battled injuries during his tenure in Tennessee, making him an easy release given his contract with the Titans.

In 2019 Dupree amassed 68 tackles, 17 QB hits, 11 sacks, and three forced fumbles with the Steelers.

But that production hasn't been touched in the previous three seasons, making this contraction negotiation considerably different this time around.

For one, Dupree would certainly be a designated pass rusher, used sparingly behind T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith.

There is also obvious concern about durability with Dupree, making his market more team-friendly.

While we don't want to put the cart before the horse here, things may align both financially and situationally to bring Dupree back on a short-term deal.
