If you look around the mock draft landscape, one name has become increasingly popular regarding the Pittsburgh Steelers' pick at 20th overall.
That would be Graham Barton, an offensive lineman from Duke.
Well, while it was a coincidence, Pittsburgh played into that pick following a recent visit with Barton:
Steelers are in on Barton
As reported by multiple outlets, Graham Barton took an official visit to the southside on Tuesday, wrapping up his visit schedule with the team that has been tied to him the most as of late, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Beyond the fact that ESPN's Field Yates and Mel Kiper both mocked Barton to Pittsburgh in their latest release, so did The Athletic's Dane Brugler.
Not to mention, there was a recent report from Tony Pauline of SportsKeeda that the growing belief around the league is that Pittsburgh will take Barton.
The late push on Barton rivals the earlier notion that Georgia OT Amarius Mims was the player to be had at 20.
I for one think you can't go wrong with either.
Having the privilege to interview Barton and watch his film, there is virtually no position he can't play on the line and he is one of the highest character players in the draft.
What has to be figured out is if theis all a smokescreen, or if Barton is the actual pick. The answer comes in a little over a week.
