James Harrison is one of the greatest pass rushers to ever play for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
A resume that stretches a mile wide, his ability to overcome the adversity of getting cut time and time again, only to go on and have such a decorated career is a true anomaly.
And in honor of that, Pittsburgh has just given him the ultimate reward:
James Harrison Named to Pittsburgh Steelers 2023 Hall of Honor

Joining an elite class that all will have solid steel footballs enshrined in their honor this year, Harrison's mark on the Steelers will now never be forgotten as long as the franchise stands.
Harrison was cut four times, yes four times before he even made the Steelers roster, showing an immense amount of mental toughness and perseverance. Often known as one of the hardest workers in the weight room, Harrison parlayed his unique work ethic into a career that includes:
- Five Pro Bowls
- Two All-Pro Selections
- Two Super Bowls
- One Defensive Player of the Year
The highest honor a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers can receive, there's only one box left to check on his resume:
The Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Harrison was first eligible last year, but he didn't make the cut. Well good thing that's nothing new to Harrison, who is undoubtedly a worthy candidate to be enshrined in Canton.
And while he may not have much influence on that result, I don't doubt his persistence for excellence will let him down there either, with a bust up next on his wishlist.
