The Pittsburgh Steelers have practice today, but there's a little change in the routine.
In place of the traditional afternoon practice, Pittsburgh will be under the lights tonight, getting a break from the heat and putting on a show for fans.
So in preparation for the nostalgic event that is back for the first time in four years, Steelers superstar T.J. Watt answered some light-hearted questions, including one that many Yinzers' may have a laugh about:
T.J Watt: "That's a little too far"
Like many of the fans, players and coaches, Steelers All-Pro and former NFL defensive player of the year T.J. Watt is looking forward to a change during camp. Back for the first time since 2019 due to the pandemic and then inclement weather, Friday Night Lights in Latrobe is here:
"Does it break up the monotony a little bit of just your every day versus one night?" Asked a reporter on behalf of "Friday Night Lights."
"Yea and I think we get pizza afterward. That's always a plus," Watt said laughingly. "Maybe we'll do water balloons again. Who knows? It will be fun."
"What's your favorite kind of Pizza?" Asked a reporter.
"Usually Margherita style, but I know we don't do that around here so I don't get too picky," answered Watt.
"What about pineapple on pizza?"
"No," answered Watt.
"How about pierogi?"
"Yea I'll eat pierogi's, anything that's not steak, chicken, and rice is a nice break," said Watt.
"No, what about pierogi"s on pizza?" Asked the reporter.
"No, now that's a little too far, finished Watt."
Come on T.J. Where's your adventure in life? I guess he hasn't been to Michael's Pizza Bar & Restaurant, down on the South Side. They're known for their famous pierogi pies and are highly acclaimed by locals and tourists alike.
But hey, even if you're as great as T.J. Watt is, everyone has their flaws. At least his revolve around food and not his play on the field.
