Well, wait-and-see mode is over in Pittsburgh.

Following their win over the Baltimore Ravens, the Pittsburgh Steelers have proven to everyone that they are true Super Bowl Contenders.

Analyzing their playoff chances and seeding after Sunday's win only solidifies that:

Steelers See Divsion Chances Rise, Opening at #1 Overall Seed

Despite beating the Washingtion Commanders and improving to 7-2 last week, the Steelers only had a 24% chance (per The Athletic) at winning the division, with the Ravens still remaining heavy favorites.

But after Sunday's win, the Steelers sit at 8-2 and with a 47% chance of winning the division, which would ultimately result in a home playoff game. The team also has a 98% of making the postseason (per NFL.Com) at this point, even with a brutal remaining schedule ahead, including a short week on tap:

"We won't waste too much time patting ourselves on the back, because that next challenge is right around the corner, man, but that's what we signed up for," HC Mike Tomlin said after Sunday's victory. This is what we live for. This is the ultimate competitors league. And, you know, we like swimming in these waters, and it's good. It's good to get to know ourselves. It's good to, you know, smile in the face of adversity that the game and life presents and come to the other side of it."

Pittsburgh remains the third seed in the AFC following the Buffalo Bills victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, but that in itself is also a win. Had Kansas City won to reach 10-0, it would have been a tall task to envision anyone passing them.

But now that they have a loss and a date with the Steelers on Christmas day, there's a real chance that the number one seed comes up for grabs before the season ends.

And if Pittsburgh can find a way to achieve a first-round bye and homfield advtange throughout the playoffs…

Their Super Bowl aspirations may be realized.
