April 1 is a day when you should pretty much not believe anything you see on the internet.

In other words, it's a tough day for folks reporting legitimate news.

April Fools' jokes have a rich history in sports. From the New York Mets' "signing" of a fictional player named Sidd Finch who threw a 168 MPH fastball to Julian Edelman claiming he had signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, there's a long list of great April Fool's jokes in professional sports.

On Saturday, the Pittsburgh Steelers added to that long list.

The Steelers' official social media accounts put out a release that said that legendary rapper Snoop Dogg had been signed to the roster.

The link for the release went to a page on the Steelers' official website that featured a photo of Snoop Dogg holding up a sign that said "April Fools".

Well done, Steelers. Well done.
