The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have come full circle in their season; much like a Christmas movie.
At the start, things were shaky. Relationships were tense. No one was sure how likable the main character was. However, the Bucs have brought it all back together and are on a four-game win streak.
The only way to take any of the air out of this rapidly-rising balloon would be the loss of a key starter, and the good news on that front is that Antoine Winfield Jr. is healthy and still good to go.
There was more than one Buccaneer fan out there that saw their Christmas Eve going very different when the prognostication started regarding Winfield and a potential injury.
Winfield has been playing the best football of his career and has firmly defined himself as one of the best safeties in football. His loss would devastate the Buccaneer defense.
However, no one has to worry about that now as Todd Bowles revealed after the game that Winfield is not injured and was even able to go back into the game.
This is huge news for the Bucs. Taking a guy out of a game because he may be injured is one thing. Taking out one of your best players because of a brief scare but keeping him out because you are winning by so much is something else entirely.
With Winfield okay, Tampa's chances of winning their last two games and going into the playoffs as a very sneaky threat are very much alive.
The good run for the Buccaneers during the holidays continues.
