The Ke'Shawn Vaughn experiment with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers needs to be over now. Months ago would be best, but tomorrow works just as well as long as the result is the same.

Vaughn is simply not an answer to the issues that plague this team on the ground.

The run game has been bad for the Bucs for the better part of six years, and part of this is not due to the backs, but Vaughn is not doing the team any favors.

During a preseason where Vaughn had a chance to solidify himself as the veteran in the room and carve out a role as the RB2, he has currently accounted for 11 carries for -4 yards.

Yes, you read that right.

Vaughn has done next to nothing this preseason and is generally a drain on the run game when he actually gets reps. Production like this is simply unacceptable for a guy that has been on the roster this long, especially when there are younger guys like Sean Tucker that bring more to the table.

There may still be some time for Vaughn to save his future in Tampa if no one else can step up, but any other back playing well for the Bucs should end Vaughn's time in Tampa.
