The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have played one half of football and the results have been a massive mixed bag.

The defense has looked excellent (no surprise). The offense has looked terrible (no surprise).

Everything has gone according to expectations so far, but Baker Mayfield being this bad after one half has been somewhat surprising.

After one half as the starter for the Bucs, Mayfield currently stands at an abysmal 6/15 for 63 yards and one touchdown.

If not for a late touchdown, it would have been one of the worst half for a Buccaneer quarterback in a long time, and even then the argument remains.

Mayfield has looked bad before the snap, under pressure, and even without pressure.

The fire just hasn't been there, and the play-calling hasn't been the issue as it has been in the past few years.

With another quarterback on the roster and Mayfield's job far from set in stone, it doesn't seem out of the question that we could see Kyle Trask sooner than later at this rate.
