The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had one of the biggest winners of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Despite having the opportunity to address the position, the Bucs did not end up selecting a running back with any of their selections, and not going after a top-tier free agent at the position means that Rachaad White is the most likely RB1 in Tampa going forward.

This is great news for White on the heels of an offseason where it seemed like the team could go in a variety of different directions to get the offense over the wall that stopped it in 2022.

Based on what we saw on the field last year, it seemed like offense could be one of the main focuses for Todd Bowles and company in the recent draft. The run game has been terrible in Tampa for the better part of the decade. Why not bring someone else in to add to White's talents?

Either way, this is a pretty large vote of confidence in White from Todd Bowles and his new coaching staff additions. The Bucs could've brought other faces in, but not doing so after White obviously earned the starting role last year is big.

Now, the pressure is on for Rachaad White in 2023 as he tries to prove the Buccaneers right on such an important personnel decision.

White has shown mountains of confidence during the postseason and beyond, and now it looks like the front office has the same level of confidence in their former rookie back as he has in himself.

The Rachaad White RB1 season is coming. Hopefully it goes better than his rookie year.
