The Tampa Bay Buccaneers handled this past offseason about as well as any team in a similar position could.

The loss of key players that needed replacing mixed with the lack of resources led to a difficult situation that was largely overcome due to the strong front office leadership, but that doesn't mean mistakes weren't made.

Ke'Shawn Vaughn staying on the roster looked like a mistake from the start, but the good news for the Bucs is that it looks like this situation is taking care of itself.

In a move that didn't really surprise anyone, the Buccaneers announced Sean Tucker as their RB2 behind Rachaad White, and Vaughn failed to achieve a higher role after an abysmal set of preseason showings.

From the outside looking in, it looks like Vaughn was not happy with the way the chips fell when he missed practice on Wednesday and Todd Bowles reveal that it was not excused.

If there is not something else going on behind the scenes, this is a very bad look for Vaughn and should lead to his removal from the team sooner rather than later.

This pick always looked like a reach, and the fact that Vaughn still can't carve out a true spot on this roster should've led to him getting cut before this point.

Regardless, it looks like the situation is taking care of itself, and it doesn't seem like a RB4 not showing up to practice is going to be something Tampa has to worry about much longer.
