Training camp could be the final straw for Buccaneers RB Ke'Shawn Vaughn

There is a lot that can happen between now and the start of training camp for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but it looks like the one move that probably makes some sense would pertain to the running back room.
It may be nice to have Rachaad White as the guy after his impressive rookie season, but putting all your eggs in that basket on a team that needs a substantial revival of its running game is bold.
Outside of White, the rest of the room is largely unproven as well. Chase Edmonds is consistent but mediocre, Sean Tucker is a fun college player but hasn't done anything in the NFL to warrant confidence as of now, and that leaves Ke'Shawn Vaughn.
While the room ahead of him hasn't often been very conductive to growth, Ke'Shawn Vaughn has been one of the more disappointing third-round picks for the franchise in a while.
Vaughn's 421 yards and three touchdowns over the past three years in the league have left a lot to be desired, especially when the front office was so enthralled with him as a prospect when they reached so much in the third round.
At the end of the day, Vaughn proved himself as a reach, and it stands to reason his time could come to an end very soon in Tampa. The depth chart just won't make sense if he struggles at camp.
If White is RB1, Edmonds is RB2, and Tucker can make a case as RB3, the Buccaneers would have no need for a guy like Vaughn on the roster. White makes sense as the featured option, Edmonds is proven, and Tucker has some upside. What does Vaughn bring to the table?
As hard as it may be to finally call it quits, moving on from Ke'Shawn Vaughn would give the Buccaneers a roster spot for a veteran if they want to carry four running backs (unlikely) or it would help put a younger face (like White or Tucker) in a better position to grow and develop for the future.
There is still a chance that he remains, but Ke'Shawn Vaughn's future prospects in Tampa are currently quite bleak.
