The Tampa Bay Buccaneers just moved to 3-1 on the season and the top spot in the NFC South after smacking the New Orleans Saints around for three hours.

Many would consider this a rivalry game for Tampa and New Orleans, but it seems as though at least one member of the Saints would disagree.

Perhaps it would be better for Cameron Jordan to not lose games after he chooses to go after an easy target like the Buccaneers. Now, he has to eat his words from more than one quote.

To be fair to Jordan, the Buccaneers were/are an easy target. Tom Brady is gone. The hype has largely not been there for most of the season. It made sense that he thought the Bucs would go back to being a bad team in this quote.

Unfortunately for Jordan, the Bucs didn't go back to being the old Bucs as he hoped. The roster may not be as flashy, but this team just demolished the Saints in a way that even some of those Tom Brady teams didn't.

The "old Tampa Bay" with Baker Mayfield just scored at will against Jordan and one of the best defenses in the NFL.

To makes matters worse for Jordan, he even went a step further recently by saying that the Bucs weren't an actual rival for the Saints, despite the fact that these games are usually some of the hottest of the year for both teams.

Well, perhaps Jordan is somewhat right. The Saints would have to win against the Bucs to make it a true rivalry, and they haven't done that in over a year.

Perhaps the Buccaneers shouldn't consider the Saints a rival after all. And perhaps Jordan should talk more trash during a stretch where his team is actually relevant. Just a thought.
