There was a lot of good to take away from the game last night for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but the one moment that was able to suck the air out of the stadium was the scary injury to quarterback John Wolford.
With career and life-threatening injuries becoming all the more common in the sport by the year (it feels like), Buccaneers fans and NFL fans alike waited with bated breath as Wolford stayed on the ground after an awkward fall.
After some tense moments and seeing Wolford carted off the field, the franchise and the fanbase can let out an exhale based on the recent good news from Todd Bowles.
While Bowles is still obviously playing it all very close to the vest and keeping timetables and key information private, it is good to know that Wolford is at least healthy and not in critical condition.
Everyone will assuredly be relieved to hear this information, especially since the outcome could've been so much worse.
Hopefully Wolford is back and playing with the team soon, but everyone can simply be happy that this wasn't any worse for right now.
Buccaneers QB suffers scary injury
Terrible moment for the Buccaneers.
