How we got to this point is beyond this somewhat-cynical writer, but it is hard to be upset with the results.
While the wins and losses are all that matter, it has been nice to see the Bucs succeed in some other areas as well. As of now, the most impressive extra stat for Tampa is the fact that the Buccaneers are the only team in the NFL that hasn't surrendered a turnover.
That's right-while everyone thought this Buccaneer offense would take a step back without Tom Brady and a few other key players, the exact opposite has been true under Dave Canales and Baker Mayfield.
This has been beyond perfect for a Bucs team that needed this as a part of their identity.
Good defense, ball control, and a team that doesn't turn the ball over. What more could Todd Bowles want from this roster?
While the Bucs have played one less game than the rest of the league, it is still impressive that they are the last team in this category.
Hopefully they can keep that going against a very good Eagles team tomorrow night.
