A Todd Bowles team is always going to focus on defense first. Call it archaic, but at least it does make the Tampa Bay Buccaneers somewhat predictable in this regard.
The Bucs have done well over the past few months to stem the bleeding of a few departures on defense, but the one area that is still a bit of a question mark is the secondary depth. The starters may be great, but who can this team consistently count on outside of that group?
Based on the recent moves and games, it seems like the Bucs aren't done looking at this depth chart just yet. The newest guy to join the hunt for the 53-man roster is DB Rodarius Williams.
Let's call this move for what it truly is; a long shot. Williams hasn't done a ton in his NFL career to lead anyone to believe this will be an out-of-the-park signing, but it could give the Bucs a decent practice squad guy that has some versatility as a pure DB that can line up in multiple areas.
Time will tell us who the shaky pieces are at the bottom end of the depth chart to necessitate this move, but it should certainly add to the competition as the Buccaneers figure out who they can count on when the rubber meets the road.
