The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are in a rough slide right now. After starting the season strong, Todd Bowles and company have dropped three games in a row.

The positivity that was present at the start of the year is mostly gone now.

As more and more people start to focus on the growing list of negatives associated with this team, there is one positive that has been present during the losing streak; the emergence of Rachaad White in more of a positive scheme.

Rachaad White did not have a great start to his season, but neither did any of the Buccaneer running backs.

Despite a mere 206 rushing yards from the RB1 over the first four games, the Bucs were generally able to win, or at least stay competitive, during their first quarter of the season. Still, there were plenty of justified reasons to question where White and the run game where at.

The next game didn't prove much better in the end, but the good news for Bucs fans is that White has been able to shine during his two most recent contests due to a great shift in scheme.

With the run failing miserably each week, the Bucs have resorted to extending their run via the quick game throwing the ball to White in space.

Between shallow routes and screens, White has accounted for 13 receptions during his past two games for 135 yards and a perfect catch rate.

It should be clear why Buccaneers fans should be so pleased with these numbers.

Rachaad White leads the Bucs in receiving yards, receptions, and catch rate over the past two weeks, and the best news in all of this is that it all looks sustainable.

These passes aren't crazy nor do they rely on the defense to do anything stupid. These are high-percentage throws that let one of the most athletic guys on the Bucs make moves in space, and it is clear that White isn't going to have any bad drops or silly mistakes in these regards at a constant rate either.

While there may be a lot to hate about this offense at times, the usage of White in this way is an excellent pivot for Dave Canales to keep the team from calling plays for the optics.

The run may not be great for Tampa for a long time, but the good news is that they can still get a lot of quality production out of their starting running back if they can keep this up.
