The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may have Baker Mayfield and Kyle Trask on their roster at quarterback, but that is far from being enough to be content with the position group.
Both players were high-value picks that have plenty of reasons for fans across the league to love their games, but this isn't enough to keep from investing in the most important position in the game.
The Bucs need to keep their options open to stay in the best position to compete down the road and it looks like they are doing as much.
Many fans aren't going to jump over themselves to love this prospect, but the Bucs are still doing their due diligence by meeting with Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker.
The Buccaneers are obviously just keeping their options open as a team that doesn't have a sure thing at quarterback.
Hooker was an awesome college quarterback that was able to post some impossible stats (five interceptions and 68 touchdowns in two years as a starter), but an ACL tear and some question marks surrounding his age (25) make this an unlikely pairing from the jump.
Still, the Bucs do have the right pick to snag Hooker if they really are impressed with his tape and his visit.
You never know what a team can do at quarterback when it's desperate.
