The first wave of free agency has passed us by and now we are on to the 2023 NFL Draft.
But, that's not the only important date on the calendar. Offseason workouts, OTAs, and minicamps will also happen over the next couple of months. Therefore, the NFL released tentative offseason workout dates on Friday.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' workout dates are below:
The first day of the offseason workout program is April 17, which is when Phase One begins. Phase One consists of the first two weeks of the program with activities limited to meetings, strength and conditioning, and physical rehabilitation, only.
Phase Two consists of the next three weeks of the program. On-field workouts may include individual or group instruction and drills, as well as “perfect play drills,” and drills and plays with offensive players lining up across from offensive players and defensive players lining up across from defensive players, conducted at a walk-through pace. No live contact or team offense vs. team defense drills are permitted.
Next is Phase Three, which is when OTAs are held. The Buccaneers will hold OTAs on the following dates:
- May 23-25
- May 30-June 1
- June 6-9
Finally, the Buccaneers will go through mandatory minicamp on June 13-15.
During the offseason workout program, the NFL Draft will be held April 27-29.
OTAs and minicamp are non-padded practices. Some OTAs and all of minicamp will be open to the media. OTAs and the offseason workout program are voluntary whereas minicamp is mandatory.
