The Tampa Bay Buccaneers don't have a rich tradition when it comes to offensive skill players, but that hasn't stopped Mike Evans from establishing his presence at the top of the list.

Evans is easily the best receiver in Buccaneers history and he's accomplished the feat in just eight seasons. And, to make it even more impressive, it's the first eight years of his career.

Plus, Evans' greatness isn't limited to the Buccaneers – it spans the entire NFL, as well. For those who don't know, Evans is the only player in NFL history to record 1,000+ receiving yards over the first eight seasons of their career. He broke Randy Moss' record of six consecutive seasons back in 2020.

While all that is great, the wild part is, Evans is still considered underrated among many in the NFL.

But, that should change once his career is over, according to one NFL scout.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler recently compiled a top-10 list ranking the best receivers in the NFL. Evans checked in at No. 8 after being ranked at No. 7 last year. Fowler's list is centered around the thoughts, opinions, and most importantly, votes among 50 NFL coaches, scouts, executives, and players.

Below is what one scout said regarding Evans:

"As far as the high-end guys, he's one of the most underrated in football," an AFC scout said. "That's how his career has been. When he's done, he'll have so many yards and production that you'll have to put him in the Hall of Fame. He's not always respected as he should be."

Evans will still produce at a high level even after Tom Brady leaves the Buccaneers

We don't for sure when Brady's and the Buccaneers' relationship will end, but Evans will be just find if the GOAT is no longer his quarterback.

For starters, the Buccaneers will still have a very formidable offense with Chris Godwin, Russell Gage, Leonard Fournette and a stout offensive line. Assuming Brady is no longer a Buc after this year, of course.

But the seller is Evans' career before Brady. Evans was still able to break Moss' record despite catching passes from Josh McCown, Mike Glennon, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Jameis Winston from 2014-2019.

With all due respect, if Evans can make it happen with those guys, there's little reason to think he can't make it work with anyone else. Unless it's like Nathan Peterman, or someone like that.

And as a result, he'll continue to put together numbers that will eventually scream first-ballot Hall of Famer.
