An injury that requires a player to get carted off the field is scary for any team. Unfortunately, that is exactly what just happened to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Third-string quarterback John Wolford has been a surprising bright spot on the Bucs as they implement their new offense, and while he was not a legitimate option to earn the starting job, there were days where Wolford looked like the best QB in the room.
Now, it looks like the Buccaneers could be without Wolford after he suffered a scary injury during the second half of the game against the Jets.
Wolford went down with what looked like a standard sack (if you can call any sack standard), but when he hit the ground, you could immediately see that something was wrong based on how Wolford held himself.
It was not long before the whole Bucs team was on the field and the cart was coming onto the field.
Wolford being able to move was a great sign during such a scary moment, but this is still going to cast a very negative shadow on this game for the Buccaneers.
Hopefully Tampa can get some good news on this front as soon as possible.
