Well, it seems like outside people and the national media have finally stopped paying attention to the NFC South again now that Tom Brady is no longer with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Buccaneers fans are used to this.

Buccaneers fans are also used to hearing crazy statements from their rivals over the years, and it seems like one newcomer is trying to top that list after only being in the division for less than a day.

One thing is for sure; you can't say that Adam Thielen doesn't have guts after he said the Panthers can win a Super Bowl.

Still, there is a major difference between confidence in yourself and living in the world of realism.

The Panthers have gotten much better during this offseason, but Thielen saying they have a chance to win a Super Bowl is a ridiculous jump beyond where this conversation should be.

Even with the best coaching staff in the division and the top pick in the draft, winning the NFC South is going to be a difficult prospect for such a new team that lacks in key areas.

Let's get to that point and beyond before anyone starts talking about a Super Bowl.

Also, as Thielen should be very aware from his time as a player, the Panthers are still dead in the water due to their quarterback situation. There is currently no one on that roster that puts the team in playoff contention from the most important position in the game, and a rookie isn't going to change anything fast enough.

Based on everything going on with the Panthers right now, they are moving towards contending for a Super Bowl again, but it just probably won't happen while Adam Thielen is on the team.
