The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are here and ready to show the world just how silly all that talk of tanking has been.

The Vikings were no slouch last year. Tampa's defense made them look silly yesterday, and the offense was much better than the 20 points would suggest.

The Bucs looked good despite all of the youth and inexperience. In fact, there was a lot to like with some of these young players, including running back Sean Tucker.

Tucker was a name that all Bucs fans had been keeping a close eye on from the start of the preseason. The rookie back was a steal as an undrafted free agent, and his quick ascension to the RB2 job was one of the more fun stories of the past few months for Tampa.

While the numbers from the first game may not be much to jump up and dance about, Tucker's final impact and skillset are better than the box score.

The run game was still pretty bland for the Bucs, but it didn't look nearly as bad as it did last year. The big runs were generally absent, but so too where the major tackles for loss behind a crowded line of scrimmage.

Most Bucs fans would probably take that trade.

Tucker finished the game with 24 yards on seven touches, but those numbers should get higher as the year goes on if yesterday was any indication.

In addition to some hard running where he hit the hole effectively and followed his blockers well (something the RB1 for the Bucs did not do well last year), Tucker made a great heads up play on a passing down to turn a bit of a mess into a positive gain.

On a team where there are still some question marks about the room as a hole, plays like the ones that Tucker made yesterday are going to start playing a large role in playing time.

It may take some time, but if yesterday was any indication, the Bucs could end the year with more of a 1A-1B running back split. Don't let it shock you.
