The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been perfectly mediocre for most of this season. They lose against the good teams and have generally done well against the "bad" teams.
What more could you hope for during a year like this one?
Still, mediocre is often dependent on the team being as close to 100% on the injury front as possible, and that may be asking a lot this weekend based on the most recent injury report.
The Colts may not be a great team, but even they should be able to bully a Tampa defense that was missing Lavonte David and Jamel Dean. Adding in the loss of Devin White on top of that would just be unfair.
All three of these players have extremely important roles to play for this defense to function at its highest level. David is still one of the best defenders on the team, Dean gets more important every week as Carlton Davis mixes in some up and down performances, and White is still one of the most athletic guys on the team-even if his play has largely been disappointing this year. The outlook is tough.
The depth on defense has always been one of the biggest problems for this roster, and having to deal with the potential of so many losses on the same day could be the perfect storm for a team that needs a win in the worst way.
Hopefully most of this report ends up changing soon. The Bucs won't be able to last long without two of these guys for any extended period of time.
Buccaneers continue to disappoint in recent loss
Another rough one.
