Bucs watch Eagles make a noticeable change ahead of key Week 4 matchup that’s honestly pretty useless

The intentions are good, but also silly.

Tuesday is an off day for just about every team in the NFL, which means the page officially turns to the next week of play on Wednesday.

Before that begins, however, the Philadelphia Eagles have made a noticeable change to their preparation ahead of Week 4’s big matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Nick Sirianni decided to move the team’s travel day up from Saturday to Friday in order to get his squad acclimated to the Tampa Bay heat, per NBC Philadelphia’s John Clark.

Eagles’ decision is pretty funny and basically useless

This is the NFL and teams are always trying to find ways to get their players ready for any scenario, but how in the world does Sirianni think he and the Eagles will acclimate to the heat after spending one day in it?

The Bucs literally struggled with the heat last week against the New York Jets – and those guys live in Tampa Bay. Todd Bowles literally talked about it on Monday when he spoke with reporters.

“I thought we got tired, and the heat index got to us a little bit, and I thought it showed on one of those drives,” said Bowles.

The heat index got up to 130 degrees last Sunday. 130 degrees. Let me say it one more time: 130 degrees!!

There’s absolutely nothing that can prepare a football player for that in the long run. Nothing. And while Sirianni’s intentions are good – it’s pointless.

We’ll see if Sirianni’s decision pays off on Sunday, but something tells me that, win or lose, this isn’t going to matter one bit.
