Man, things can change quickly in just a week’s time.

At this point last Monday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were reeling at the wide receiver position. The team was down its top-3 options heading into the Week 6 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers and then Emeka Egbuka pulled his hamstring the in first half. It was bad enough to where he missed the entire second half and had to get an MRI on Tuesday.

Flash forward to the Bucs’ huge Week 7 matchup against the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football and the situation has done a complete 180: Both Egbuka and Mike Evans will play and take on a depleted Lions secondary.

It’s a huge win for the Bucs and it represents a big obstacle for the Lions defense. Not only are Evans and Egbuka two very good players, but their presence keeps Josh Grizzard from being limited in his playcalling. Both receivers can move around the offense and play multiple positions and Egbuka, specifically, can line up and play the X (primary), F (slot), or Z (flanker) positions with ease.

The Bucs offensive line received a solid boost, as well, in the form of veteran guard Mike Jordan. He started the first two games of the year and played OK before getting hurt against the Houston Texans in Week 2. With Luke Haggard out, it’s likely Jordan mans the right guard position, which is a positive development up front. This will be his third elevation from the practice squad, so the Bucs will have to sign him to the 53-man roster if they want to elevate him again in the future.

The Bucs also released their inactives for tonight’s game and they are as follows:
