The Tampa Bay Buccaneers haven't had a quiet offseason.

Tom Brady's retirement, and subsequent return, has dominated Tampa Bay-related headlines over the last month.

Other notable moves from the Bucs include extending wide receiver Chris Godwin and re-signing cornerback Carlton Davis. Tampa Bay also re-signed center Ryan Jensen.

One of the Buccaneers' moves that flew under the radar a bit was the signing of safety Logan Ryan.

That move, in particular, was noted by The Athletic's Ted Nguyen this week as one of the best value signings in the NFC this offseason.

Nguyen thinks Ryan will be a great fit in Todd Bowles' defense.

From The Athletic:

The Buccaneers had a big hole to fill at safety when Jordan Whitehead left in free agency for the New York Jets. To find his replacement, the Buccaneers signed Logan Ryan from the Giants. He played corner for the first seven seasons of his career before making the change to safety when he signed with the Giants in 2020, playing for defensive coordinator Patrick Graham. He’s still relatively new to the position but Ryan lined up at free safety, strong safety and nickel.

There's no doubt that Tampa Bay had a strong offseason. Thanks to the return of Brady, Godwin, Davis, and Jensen, the Bucs should be one of the favorites in the NFC to reach the Super Bowl.

Ryan won two Super Bowls with Brady in New England. Maybe they can get another one together in Tampa.
