When Bruce Arians resigned as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach last month, there was immediately some speculation that his relationship with quarterback Tom Brady was a driving factor in his decision.
Arians has shot down those rumors numerous times over the last week.
But something Arians said this week could be construed as him throwing shade at Brady.
Arians was discussing Buccaneers offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich and the great job he's done in Tampa when the former Bucs head coach made a comment that certainly felt like a shot at Brady.
"I get credit and Brady gets way too much credit for what Byron does with our offense," said Arians to Arizona Sports 98.7 FM. "One of the reasons I hope he gets all the credit he deserves this year is to get a coaching gig; you know, he had about four or five teams real interested last year."

The "Brady gets way too much credit" line feels a bit snarky, right? Why else would Arians say that if it wasn't shade at Brady?
I mean, of course Brady, the greatest quarterback of all time, is going to get a lot of credit for the Buccaneers' prolific offense. That's not to take anything away from Leftwich — I agree with Arians that he deserves a shot as a head coach. But it's Brady….don't we think he deserves some credit, too?
I don't know if it's actually shade or not from Arians. Maybe it's just poor wording. But I don't think there's any doubt that he and Brady aren't vacationing together anytime soon.
