The Tampa Bay Buccaneers surprised a lot of people in 2023. With a winning record, an NFC South division title, and a home playoff win over the Philadelphia Eagles, the Bucs achieved far more than most pundits believed they would accomplish in 2023.
However, it seems as though the oddsmakers don't think much differently about them despite their recent success.
DraftKings has their odds posted for the winner of Super Bowl LIX, and the Buccaneers are a very long way from the top. Specifically, they're +7000, or 70 to 1.

The list of teams who are above them is quite surprising. The Chicago Bears – who could be starting a rookie QB in Caleb Williams – are at +3000. The NY Jets are +2500 in a very difficult AFC East – and AFC, for that matter.
But perhaps most surprising are the Atlanta Falcons at +3500. The Falcons who have absolutely no decent option at quarterback. The Falcons who finished the season 7-10. The Falcons breaking in a new head coach in Raheem Morris with a brand-new staff. Those Falcons. Twice the better odds of the team that won the division and won a playoff game? That's just weird.
Sure, the Bucs have some roster questions that could jump the odds higher, which is probably why they're so low at present. GM Jason Licht must find a way to bring back unrestricted free agents Baker Mayfield, Mike Evans, Antoine Winfield, Jr., and Lavonte David. However, he potentially has the cap space to be able to pull it off, and Evans and Mayfield have both recently expressed their desire to stay in town.
As such, now's the time to get down on the Buccaneers if you're a betting person. The odds are only going to go up from such a ridiculously low number.
