Lots of travelers, particularly abroad, love to have punchboard maps with pins they can put in them to detail their travels.  The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are no stranger to that, as they've logged plenty of international miles over the years.

After Friday's schedule reveal, it's now a possibility that the Bucs could end up putting a pin in a country that no other NFL team has done thus far.

The Miami Dolphins were named on Friday as the home team for the NFL's first-ever game in Spain.  The game will be played in Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, home of the Real Madrid soccer team.

That matters for the Bucs because the Dolphins are one of Tampa Bay's 2025 road opponents.

The Bucs were one of the earliest teams to travel abroad for international games.  The Bucs played in London during the 2009, 2011, and 2019 seasons.  Tampa Bay lost to New England 35-7 and 24-18 to Chicago at Wembley Stadium in 2009 and 2011, respectively, and fell 37-26 to Carolina at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2019.

The Bucs had better luck in 2022, when they played in the first-ever game in Germany.  Tampa Bay defeated the Seattle Seahawks 21-16 in Munich at Allianz Arena.  Tampa Bay currently holds international marketing rights in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

We'll find out in May if the Bucs will be a part of the first-ever NFL game in a new country for a second time in four seasons, when the NFL releases its full schedule for the 2025 season.
