The Tampa Bay Buccaneers now know who they'll be playing in the Wild Card round of the playoffs and when they will face them.

The Bucs and Philadelphia Eagles will face off on Monday night at 8:00 pm ET at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

The Buccaneers and Eagles will face off for the second time on a Monday night on ESPN this season.  The Eagles knocked off the Bucs 25-11 on Monday Night Football back in Week 3.

The extra day (or two) off better suits the Eagles under both teams' current circumstances. Tampa Bay QB Baker Mayfield is still trying to get over the ribs injury he suffered late in the Bucs' 23-13 loss to New Orleans.  However, the Buccaneers are mostly healthy otherwise, which is a pretty remarkable thing this late in the season.

Conversely, the Eagles were dealing with some substantial injuries coming into their season finale against the New York Giants, most notably Devonta Smith.  After their 27-10 loss, they're dealing with a handful of additional injuries to major players.  AJ Brown suffered a knee injury and didn't return.  Jalen Hurts suffered a dislocated finger on his throwing hand.   Reed Blankenship (groin) and Cam Jurgens (eye) also left the game.

As such, the extra day off is something the Eagles will undoubtedly welcome as they try to get a number of players healthy for Wild Card weekend.  Mayfield probably won't complain too much either.
