Cam Ward doesn’t hold back criticizing his Titans offense after loss to Raiders drops team to 1-5
The Titans offense is impossible to watch.
The Tennessee Titans’ offense is physically painful to watch. It is about as bad as it gets. In fact, the Titans have scored just 83 points this season, which according to ESPN research, is their fewest through six games since 1985.
They did a bunch of nothing for 60 minutes of game clock against the Las Vegas Raiders in their 20-10 loss in Week 6, and the starting quarterback didn’t mince words on the topic after the game.
Cam Ward Tells It Like It Is After Miserable Showing
“At the end of the day, we’re not doing anything on offense.” That’s what Cam Ward said in his post game press conference, and he couldn’t have hit the nail any more squarely on the head. This offense isn’t even flat; it’s lifeless. There’s just nothing to it. They try to run so many screens (or “run solutions”) and they fail regularly. The receivers largely stink as blockers. The tight ends aren’t a whole lot better. And nobody can get open downfield consistently, especially with Calvin Ridley down for the count in this game.
Cam Ward himself doesn’t get off the hook either, though. According to Next Gen Stats, Cam Ward completed just 3 of 10 passes for 33 yards and 1 interception when pressured, resulting in a 1.2 passer rating. He was pressured on 36.4% of dropbacks in Las Vegas. He was also responsible for an interception (though his arm was batted) and a pair of lost fumbles, including this inexplicable turnover to officially ends the game:
At the beginning of the year, Ward was lauded as the anti-Levis: doing things Will Levis would try in his meme-worthy 2024 campaign, but getting away with them. Just six games into the season, it brings me no joy to point out that he’s now looking Levis-esque in clips like this one.
Ward also admitted to a bad week of practice setting the stage for this game in his postgame presser. “He’s not lying, we came out flat,” Ward said, in agreement with DT Jeffery Simmons who said the same in the locker room. “It’s the way we played today. And so we just can’t let that carry over, we’ve got a good team coming in next week at home and we’ve got to try to get the win.”
If Ward and the offense around him continues to show no life in 2025, nobody is safe. I don’t get the sense that anybody’s head will be placed on a platter this week, but coaches and players alike are on notice each time they put up a new pathetic outing like this on Sundays.

Titans aren’t admitting it, but there’s extra layer of hidden motivation on the line in Week 6 for the Callahan family
Not only do the Titans have a shocking number of former Raiders on their payroll, but the Callahan’s have a lengthy history with Pete Carroll that isn’t pretty!
