The Tennessee Titans received some unfortunate news on Monday as head coach Brian Callahan revealed that inside linebacker Chance Campbell will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL.

Although there is never a good time for an injury to occur, Campbell's knee injury comes at an especially devastating time for the Ole Miss product. After being drafted in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Campbell missed the entirety of his rookie season with a knee injury. Though he did return in 2023, Campbell played just four games before reinjuring the same knee.

Campbell was the star of the preseason for the Titans and had solidified his role as the team's No. 3 inside linebacker behind starters Kenneth Murray and Jack Gibbens. Now without the next man up in the linebacker room, Tennessee's in-house options include Otis Reese IV, who missed Sunday's contest due to a concussion, rookie Cedric Gray, who has missed all of preseason with a shoulder injury, and seventh-round rookie James Williams.

With how thin the Titans are at inside linebacker, it would not at all be surprising to see general manager Ran Carthon look elsewhere for a solution. Tuesday marks the NFL's 53-man roster deadline, which means Carthon will soon have plenty of players to sort through if he intends to solve this problem externally.
