Well, it happened.
Not only is Derrick Henry a member of the Tennessee Titans – he has agreed to terms with the arch rival Baltimore Ravens on a two-year deal worth up to $20 million, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
It's a move everyone pretty much expected to happen in terms of leaving Tennessee and Baltimore seemed inevitable after the Ravens pursued Henry during the 2023 season. It still stings, however, to see one of the best players to ever play in Nashville head to, again, the Ravens.
Things get even more painful when seeing Henry's tweet that surfaced pretty much as soon as the news broke:
In all seriousness, good for him. But still, the internet is forever, unfortunately.
Henry finishes his Titans career with 9,502 rushing yards and 90 rushing touchdowns. He averaged 4.9 yards per carry and also snagged 155 receptions for 1,458 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He was named to four Pro Bowls and earned two All-Pro nods and is just one of eight running backs in NFL history to record 2,000 rushing yards or more in a single season.
