Remember this? The Tennessee Titans’ rookie QB Cam Ward had a documentary series made about his rise from being a zero star high school recruit, through multiple stops in college, all the way to becoming the number one overall pick in the NFL draft. It was announced, and scheduled, and then delayed.

So much has happened since it fell off of our collective radars. But now, just in time for the holidays, the show is officially coming out. And it’s about to be here this week.

“Zero Star: The Cam Ward Story” premieres this week

FOX Sports announced on X.com that “Zero Star: The Cam Ward Story” will be available for free on the streaming service Tubi this Thursday, December 4th.

The series was first announced back in 2024, headed up by Firebrand Media Group as a larger “Zero Star” project, before being reworked into a 6-part documentary on Cam Ward. It was officially picked up by Tubi in June of this year, scheduled to premiere in September just as the NFL regular season was beginning.

But September came, and there was no word on the series. Tubi eventually emailed users on September 9th, saying “Due to a change in production schedule, ‘Zero Star: The Cam Ward Story’… will now debut on Tubi later this year.”

No further details came out until October 21st, when composer Benjamin Zecker posted on his website that the show’s post-production had been finalized and it would premiere in Q4 of 2025. And the finally, the announcement on December 1st that it would release on the 4th.

Director Alec Roth told Variety “This series gives viewers an unfiltered look at a young man who was told ‘no’ at every stage yet refused to quit. From backyard games in West Columbia to draft night glory, Cam’s story unfolds across six episodes filled with raw emotion, defining moments, and behind-the-scenes access. It’s a modern hero’s journey — and a blueprint for anyone who’s ever felt overlooked.”

Titans fans will undoubtedly be glued to the show now that it’s finally being released to the world.
