Tennessee Titans fifth-round pick Louisville CB Jarvis Brownlee Jr. has an opportunity to live in the Indianapolis Colts' nightmares for years to come.

Like JC Latham and T'Vondre Sweat, Brownlee met with the Titans on a 30 visit ahead of the draft. He always felt good about Tennessee as a potential landing spot, but the Colts, who held the 142nd overall pick, were also interested in his talents.

Indianapolis ultimately used its fifth-round pick on Oregon State WR Anthony Gould, who Brownlee could match up against in the future, but the Colts' loss is the Titans' gain.

"If the Colts didn't get me, I kinda knew the Titans were coming," Brownlee told reporters.

Brownlee, who was drafted just four picks later with the No. 146 overall pick, finished his collegiate career at Louisville after transferring from Florida State following the 2021 season. His versatility and physicality in the slot and on the outside contributed to six interceptions and 22 passes defensed in college.

Interestingly enough, Brownlee admits to preferring the nickel position as opposed to the outside, but he won't back down from any challenge.

While Brownlee is no slouch in coverage, he loves to tackle. He racked up 96 tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss in his two seasons at Louisville and plays with a similar physicality in press coverage, a trait also possessed by Titans free agent additions L'Jarius Sneed and Chidobe Awuzie.

If all things go according to plan Brownlee figures to slot in as the next man up behind Tennessee's trio of Sneed, Awuzie and Roger McCreary. This addition will create a fierce competition between Tre Avery and Eric Garror for that fifth cornerback spot barring any pleasant surprises in the Titans' class of undrafted free agents.
