BUFFALO — Veteran backup quarterback Mason Rudolph will start for the Tennessee Titans against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, multiple sources confirm to A to Z Sports.

News initially reported by Paul Kuharsky.

Levis was officially listed as questionable on the team’s injury report on Friday. The second-year quarterback has been nursing a right shoulder injury to his AC joint.

Leading up to Tennessee’s divisional matchup with the Indianapolis Colts after a bye week, Levis was a full participant in practice with no injury designation. While there was some thought that the Titans’ quarterback would have to play through some pain, there was no doubt in anyone’s mind that Levis was able to fulfill his duties and lead the team effectively.

Levis returned to play against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6, but struggled as Tennessee dropped to 1-4 on the season. Levis expressed after the game that he felt restricted by his shoulder injury, and now after a week of limited practice, the Titans will turn to Rudolph once again.

Rudolph stepped in for Levis against the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football, and led the team to it’s only win of the season.

This isn’t a great look for the organization and what now clearly feels like a mismanaged injury. Playing Levis at less than 100 percent feels pointless. But an upset win over Buffalo also wouldn’t feel as sweet without your young QB under center.
