Free agent tackle says he's open to playing for Titans

The Tennessee Titans took care of their biggest problem yesterday by signing star receiver DeAndre Hopkins.
While the addition of Hopkins should fix the biggest issue, there remains a massive hole in the offensive line. Even before news of Nicholas Petit-Frere's suspension, the line was looking rather shallow. Now, the line looks like potentially one of the weakest in the league.
Luckily for the Titans, there remains a solid free agent option who even has local ties to the Nashville area. This veteran recently hinted on Twitter that he'd be open to signing with the team.
A Titans fan took to Twitter on Sunday to recruit veteran free agent tackle George Fant. Fant responded, saying that "All they (Titans) gotta do is call."
Fant is a native of Bowling Green, Kentucky, some 60 miles north of Nashville. The former Western Kentucky Hilltopper spent the first four seasons of his career with the Seattle Seahawks and the past three seasons with the New York Jets.
2022 was a rough season for Fant, finishing with his worst PFF grade since his rookie season. Besides a rough rookie season and a tough 2022, Fant has been an average-to-above-average swing tackle in the league.
Fant's best season came with the Jets in 2021 when he allowed just one sack in 889 offensive snaps. This performance earned the tackle the best PFF grade of his career with a 71.1.
Fant is coming off of a down year, will be 31 when the 2023 season begins, and is from the area. All of these factors mean Fant would likely sign for a reasonable amount if the Titans are interested.
If the Titans don't sign the veteran, the options on the roster are uninspiring. 2022 UDFA Andrew Rupcich and 2023 sixth-round pick Jaelyn Duncan would likely compete for the right tackle role until NPF returns.
There is some debate as to whether rookie first-rounder Peter Skoronski will move to tackle, but I believe the team will prefer to keep him at guard. If Skoronski stays at guard and Fant isn't signed, it appears Duncan, Rupcich, or veteran Jamarco Jones will be in line to start for the first two months of the season.
