The Titans Schedule Release Wins Again
The Titans put together the single best team schedule release video in NFL history last season…until now. They've done it again, bringing back a "celebrity" from last year's schedule release video to host their incredible sequel.
"Red Stallion Girl" went down to Broadway in downtown Nashville, TN to talk through the Tennessee Titans' scheduled opponents with honky tonk tourists who were apparently all experts when it comes to the NFL. Absolutely glorious.
Biggest Games on the Titans 2024 Schedule
Every divisional game: The Texans, Jaguars, and Colts all three had winning records last year. Every single divisional win could be the difference between finishing first or fourth in the AFC South this season.
Titans at Chargers: The Chargers will look completely different this year with new head coach Jim Harbaugh. Despite them finishing 5-12 last season this could be a surprisingly tough away game that the Titans absolutely have to win if they want to make the playoffs in 2024.
Titans vs. Jets: A healthy Aaron Rodgers makes the Jets stacked roster immediately a playoff contender. This is another team who struggled last season, but the Titans must beat at home to secure a playoff spot. Facing off against the stacked AFC East and the Bengals with a healthy Joe Burrow this year doesn't leave much room for error against teams they "should" beat like the Jets.
Primetime Matchups and Streaming Service Broadcasts
Which games will be primetime viewing?
The NFL decided to completely disrespect the Tennessee Titans with their primetime scheduling decisions this season. Over half of the teams in the NFL have four or more primetime and international games on the schedule. The Titans? One game. Just one primetime game on the entire 17-game slate for the Two-Tone Blue. But! The good news is that it should be a doozy!
- Week 4 Monday Night Football at Miami Dolphins – The Titans/Dolphins Monday Night Football matchup last season was a beautiful 28-27 high-flying shootout between rookie Will Levis and Tua Tagovailoa. Levis launched the rock for 327 yards through the air as the Titans scored two late touchdowns to defeat Miami in dramatic fashion. This should be an epic rematch.
Which games will you need streaming services to watch?
The bright side to the Tennessee Titans super simple schedule this year with virtually zero primetime matchups is that fans won't have to subscribe to any extra streaming services this year. Every single game on the Titans schedule is on CBS, FOX, or ESPN.
The only thing that could change this is if the final game of the season against the Houston Texans got flexed into some sort of specific primetime slot.
Strength of Schedule (based off Vegas win totals, not 2023 record)
Warren Sharp of Sharp Football Analysis ranks strength of schedule for all 32 NFL teams every year based off of Vegas' projected win totals for all their opponents in the upcoming season. This makes more sense than simply combining win-loss record from the previous season because rosters are so drastically different year over year.
As of this writing, Sharp has the Titans' with the sixth most difficult schedule for the 2024 season. Only the Vikings, Ravens, Browns, Patriots, and Steelers have tougher schedules, as you can see in the image below.

Revenge Games on the Titans 2024 schedule
- Calvin Ridley plays the Jaguars twice: Calvin Ridley will likely want to make sure the Jaguars miss him when they play the Titans twice this season. Expect a touchdown or two from Ridley that day.
- Kenneth Murray and the Los Angeles Chargers: The Chargers let Murray walk via free agency despite him tallying over 320 tackles for them throughout his rookie contract. He be may be hitting his old teammates hard that day, making sure the Chargers know they made a mistake not bringing him back.
- Denico Autry, Azeez Al-Shaair and the Houston Texans: The Titans let Denico Autry and Azeez Al-Shaair walk via free agency for some reason. Autry racked up nearly 30 sacks over the last three seasons. Al-Shaair just had his best career season with over 160 tackles for the Titans last year. They likely play a little bit harder against the Titans in both games.
5 Must-watch Matchups
- L'Jarius Sneed vs. Justin Jefferson: L'Jarius Sneed allowed just two receptions for 14 total yards when he faced off against Justin Jefferson in coverage last year when he was still with the Kansas City Chiefs. This should be the premier WR/CB matchup of the week when they play.
- JC Latham vs. Joey Bosa & Khalil Mack: Titans' new first round offensive tackle will have his hands full protecting Will Levis from Bosa and Mack, two of the best pass rushers in the NFL.
- Will Levis vs. Ahmad Gardner and the Jets secondary: The Jets allowed just 5.5 yards per pass attempt last year and play incredibly well together. Levis needs to prove he can play well against the toughest secondaries in the league.
- Titans secondary vs. C.J. Stroud and the Texans receivers: C.J. Stroud emerged last season as one of the best young quarterbacks in the game. Then the Texans added Stefon Diggs in the off-season, giving him an incredible trio to target. The Titans have the most expensive cornerback tandem in the NFL after signing both L'Jarius Sneed and Chidobe Awuzie to big deals. Limiting explosive plays will be crucial.
- Brian Callahan vs. his former team the Cincinnati Bengals: The Bengals know Callahan's offense well. Can he draw some new wrinkles to confuse his old team? It may only take one or two big plays from DeAndre Hopkins or Calvin Ridley to make the difference.
