Tennessee Titans receive massive trade back haul, give Cam Ward a shiny new weapon in latest 3-round 2026 NFL mock draft
Latest 3-round NFL mock draft answers a lot of questions for the Tennessee Titans.
The Tennessee Titans are an NFL franchise in desperate need of direction. They will be welcoming a new head coach to the family this offseason after firing Brian Callahan early this year, and making sure that they mesh with quarterback Cam Ward is a massive priority. If this team wants to get back to some level of success any time soon, maximizing and developing their young signal caller is paramount. That is where the conversation will center this offseason.
This is a Titans roster that needs a major injection of talent overall. The 2026 NFL Draft is going to be a huge opportunity for general manager Mike Borgonzi and this staff to fill a lot of holes on this roster. While the conversation centers around putting increased talent around Ward, there are needs on both sides of the football. Several of them were met in my latest 2026 7-round NFL mock draft.
Titans Draft Wish List
To help me adequately identify the top team needs for the Titans, A to Z Sports Titans reporter Easton Freeze was kind enough to give his insight. Here is how he sees the top needs for the team, and what the organization will be looking for this April.
- The Tennessee Titans’ wish list heading into the 2026 NFL draft has a very clear upper tier: wide receiver, cornerback, and edge rusher. This is based on the glaring nature of their needs, as well as the premium nature of these positions. If they don’t take a big swing on one of these position groups in free agency, I’d be willing to bet blindly on at least 3 of their first 4 draft picks going towards these spots. The order in which you’d prefer to see it happen depends entirely on where they finish in the draft order and personal preference.
- Because how do you judge which is a bigger need than the others? The Titans have only Chimere Dike and Elic Ayomanor to rely on at receiver in any serious capacity after this year, and both are rookies with limitations. You need a real WR1 for Cam Ward no matter what, and it’s reasonable to argue you need a WR2 as well to put these soon-to-be second-year players in their ideal slots.
- At EDGE, the Titans came into the year knowing this would be a thin room they’d have to work around. Taking a hammer pass rusher at the top of the 2026 draft has always been written in pencil for this franchise, and it’s why I’d lean in that direction this early on based on history and odds alone. True EDGE1 types aren’t often found outside of the first round. Rookie Femi Oladejo will have real expectations next season, but I’m not sure anybody expects him to turn into a true alpha. Not yet, at the very least.
- And at cornerback, the Titans will likely be looking for three new starters. L’Jarius Sneed is all-big certain to be on his way out after a second disappointing season of poor health and underwhelming play. And Roger McCreary and Jarvis Brownlee Jr. both got traded before the deadline for different reasons. 6th round rookie Marcus Harris is coming along nicely in recent weeks, but is he somebody they’ll want to rely on as a starter in his second season? I see this position as the most likely to get some attention in free agency.
- Beyond those three spots, the position of paying the closest attention to is running back. It’s not a premium position by any means, but I’ve been talking about my understanding that this organization would like to have a true RB1 on the roster since as early as last May. The draw to find a big upgrade here has only been amplified by the running game trending in the wrong direction so far this season. Tony Pollard isn’t somebody I’d expect to be brought back as of today, and Tyjae Spears’ future is up in the air too. Even if he returns, he’s not a bellcow. He’s a changeup. Rookie Kalel Mullings is working back into the fold right now following some time away for injury, but he’s more of a third down/dirty work back than anything else.
Tennessee Titans 3-round mock draft
Okay, let’s have a quick golf clap to Freeze for giving his insight. It is mock draft time, and it starts with a trade. It is just a 3-rounder, but don’t worry, there will be more where this came from. With five more selections outside of the top-100 selections, there is a ton of value to be had.
(The Tennessee Titans traded the #1 overall pick and a 2027 fifth-round selection to the New York Jets for picks #4, #28, and #45 in this year’s draft.)
Round 1, Pick 4: Arvell Reese, LB/EDGE, Ohio State
You can call him a linebacker. You can call him an EDGE. No matter what you call him, Arvell Reese is the best football player in the 2026 draft.
Round 1, Pick 28: Kevin “KC” Concepcion, WR, Texas A&M
The former NC State transfer has been a revelation for the Aggies so far this season. Concepcion is an outstanding route runner who does his best work from the slot. His explosiveness and after-catch ability would be a very welcome sight to this Titans offense.
Round 2, Pick 33: Colton Hood, CB, Tennessee
Heading into the 2025 season, Jermod McCoy was the one everyone was talking about in the Tennessee secondary. In his absence, Hood had the chance to make his mark. He is a super smooth cover man who is also very intelligent, which makes sense with him being the son of a former NFLer.
Round 2, Pick 45: Quincy Rhodes Jr., EDGE, Arkansas
While there are some questions about what position Reese will play long term, there is no question where Rhodes will. At 6-6 and 275 pounds, he is an extremely long and talented pass rusher. Rhodes is still a little rough around the edges technically, but his overall physical profile is really impressive.
Round 3, Pick 65: Jonah Coleman, RB, Washington
Coleman has become a very underrated player in the class, but he’s a really impressive runner. He has great patience and even better contact balance. At the very least, Coleman should develop into a really nice power option in a backfield. There is a strong possibility, however, that Coleman becomes a starter before too long.
