If the Tennessee Titans are going to thrive in 2019, they'll need wide receiver Corey Davis to take a big step forward.
Titans head coach Mike Vrabel doesn't seem too concerned about Davis' ability to be a top option in the passing game.
But that doesn't mean the second year head coach is free from concern when it comes to Davis.
When asked by reporters on Sunday how Davis can continue to improve, Vrabel mentioned that durability can be more important than ability.
Davis missed five games as a rookie in 2017, but he didn't miss any games last season.
However, that doesn't mean it was smooth sailing for Davis last season. The former Western Michigan standout missed time during training camp and the Titans' first pre season game a year ago due to a hamstring issue.
As a young player, it's important that Davis is involved in as much of training camp/pre-season as possible. That's especially true with a new offensive coordinator (Arthur Smith) in the mix.
Davis showed last season against the Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots how dynamic he can be.
Against the Eagles, Davis caught nine passes for 161 yards and a touchdown. He caught seven passes for 125 yards and a touchdown against the Patriots.
If the Titans get that kind of production from Davis on a regular basis in 2019, it's going to be a long season for opposing defenses in the AFC South.
