Fans of the Tennessee Titans are getting a chance to experience the sports phenomenon that's sweeping the nation. A very wacky but fun and wildly popular one.

The Savannah Bananas have taken their show to Nissan Stadium, with the entire stadium filled up on Saturday night for the Bananas tour stop.  That meant some players got involved in the event, and that of course included new Titans franchise quarterback Cam Ward

Ward took the field before the game started with Bananas starting pitcher Correlle Prime, stepping through a giant banana onto the playing field.  Then they did Ward's signature celebration before trotting across the field.

Ward has shown himself to be a strictly business type of player.  No fanfare, no self-promotion, just getting to work and being great on the football field.  The hype surrounding him coming into the draft – both self-promoted and attention from national media – has to be perhaps the most muted of any quarterback to be drafted number one overall in recent memory.

As such, it's kind of nice to see a lighter side of Ward getting involved in things outside of football – even if he's doing it on the playing surface where Titans fans hope he will take the team to another level in 2025 and beyond.

The Bananas have been a nationwide hit, selling out just about everywhere they've gone – including Clemson and their 81,000-seat venue – with their brand of wacky baseball.  Players on both teams wear silly outfits and perform amusing and entertaining stunts and antics while working their way through an actual baseball game.

We'll see this fall if Ward can help keep excitement, interest, and attendance at high levels on Sundays at Nissan Stadium.
