Titans announce new free agent jersey numbers and leave very few good options for top draft picks
The Titans just welcomed a free agency class twice the size of a draft class, and these vets called dibs on the good jerseys.
Who doesn’t love a good jersey number discussion? Well, full disclosure, me. But I’m clearly in the minority on this, so let’s have it anyways.
The Titans signed a big fat class of free agents this spring, and paid many of them to be important starters. They’ve now each officially chosen their new jersey numbers, and they’ve left very little for a big rookie class to pick over.
Titans veterans leave incoming draft class few number options
Here’s the list of veteran number choices after free agency:
- 3- Tommy Townsend
- 4- Wan’Dale Robinson
- 10- Mitchell Trubisky
- 11- Jermaine Johnson II
- 18- Cor’Dale Flott
- 24- Alontae Taylor
- 25- Joshua Williams
- 38- Tony Adams
- 44- Mohamoud Diabate
- 51- Austin Schlottman
- 57- Jacob Martin
- 73- Cordell Volson
- 76- Austin Deculus
- 82- Daniel Bellinger
- 86- Kylen Granson
- 90- Solomon Thomas
- 91- John Franklin-Myers
- 93- Malik Herring
- 95- Jordan Elliott
For reference, here are some “jersey sellers” in the draft that the Titans may very well target, as well as their college numbers.
- 0- LB Sonny Styles, WR Chris Bell
- 1- CB Chris Johnson, WR Ted Hurst
- 3- WR Omar Cooper Jr.
- 4- RB Jeremiyah Love, EDGE Rueben Bain
- 5- WR Germie Bernard
- 7- WR KC Concepcion
- 8- EDGE Arvell Reese, CB Colton Hood
- 9- EDGE Zion Young
- 12- WR Denzel Boston
- 13- WR Elijah Sarratt
- 17- WR Carnell Tate, WR Chris Brazzell
- 31- EDGE David Bailey
- 32- EDGE R Mason Thomas
Love and Bain are in play for the Titans with the fourth overall pick, but would be out of luck on their old number thanks to the highly-compensated Wan’Dale Robinson. Bailey is also in play in the first, but his number is taken by 2025 6th round pick Kalel Mullings at the moment. That feels more gettable. Reese, who I suspect the Titans would love if he fell to them, wore 8 in college. That’s currently taken by Will Levis for now, but he will almost certainly be traded sometime before the season begins.

Jeffery Simmons and Peter Skoronski need new contracts soon. The Titans have the means to make that happen, but they should move quickly.
