NASHVILLE – As we look ahead to the 2024 season, every NFL fanbase is hoping that the league's next breakout star is currently sitting somewhere on their teams roster.
We see it every year. A handful of players come out of nowhere, put it all together, become a household name, and rise to NFL stardom all in one season. In 2023 it was players like RB Kyren Williams, WR Nico Collins, DT Justin Madubike, and S Geno Stone. So who is up next in 2024? And could the Tennessee Titans have one of these breakout candidates sitting on their roster?
Here's a look at three Titans players on the offensive side of the ball that could make a big jump in performance from 2023 to 2024.
1. Tyjae Spears
With Derrick Henry no longer in the picture, there should be plenty of opportunity for second-year running back Tyjae Spears to assert himself as the future of the backfield in Tennessee.
While veteran free agent signing Tony Pollard is expected to split carries with Spears during the 2024 season, Spears should still see a massive increase in usage this fall. From volume alone, NFL fans should anticipate Spears being a more nationally relevant name this season.
If he repeats his rookie success in areas like yards per carry, Spears has the potential to be a Top 10 running back in the sport. More on what that Tyjae Spears breakout season could look like here.

2. Peter Skoronski
Peter Skoronski is going to be a really succesful NFL offensive lineman. You can take that to the bank. Titans fans and the NFL world may not have seen everything Skoronski was capable of in 2023, but that doesn't mean Skoronski wasn't worth the first round pick Tennessee used on him in the 2022 NFL Draft.
When you factor in the mid-season appendectomy Skoronski battled through and the lack of talent surrounding him, it's no wonder the 22-year-old's rookie season was a roller coaster. But with a new coaching staff and roster in Music City, all signs point to Skoronski blossoming soon.

3. Josh Whyle
Josh Whyle is so under-the-radar that even Titans fans probably forget he's a part of the offensive in Tennessee on occasion. In order for Whyle to truly break out, he will not only need to prove himself to the fanbase in Nashville, but announce his relevance to football fans everywhere in 2024.
That being said, Whyle is the type of player who could absolutely to make it happen. His physical traits and growing locker room leadership are just a few of the reasons why 2024 could be a big season for the former Cincinnati Bearcats tight end.
