NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Titans have released former first-round pick Caleb Farley ahead of the NFL's roster cut deadline on Tuesday.

Farley was selected with the 22nd overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and has suited up for just 12 regular season games since joining the Titans.

The 25-year-old cornerback has been through a series of challenges both on and off the field. His return to the practice field in 2024 was a really good thing to see, but there is not room for Farley in Tennessee's newly revamped secondary.

It's not a shock to see Tennessee moving on from Farley. Nobody following the team closely had any expectations that he would end up on the 53-man roster. It is, however, an unfortunate conclusion to his time in Nashville after seeing how things have unfolded for the former first-rounder over the last few seasons.

From an ACL tear to a spinal injury, Farley's health has always seemed to get in the way of his on-field development. He also dealt with the tragic loss of his father in August of 2023.

It wasn't going to happen with the Titans this year, but Farley is still a tremendously gifted football player with more resilience than most. I'll be wishing him nothing but the best in his next venture.
